Letterjoin

At Brunswick we use Letterjoin across the school to teach correct letter formation and joining. It is a great resource because it comes with an online platform to support your child at home.

Phonics at Brunswick House 

Twinkl Phonics 

Twinkl phonics is taught from Foundation Stage to Year 2, with additional support in Key Stage 2 as required. We have a wealth of resources that we can provide for supporting at home. Please just ask your child's class teacher or a member of the English Team.

We have included a guide to our Twinkl Phonics Scheme and the Rhino Reader books that children bring home to share with you. 

Spelling at Brunswick House 

Spelling Shed 

SpellingShed is a fanastic scheme and resource that support KS2 pupils with spelling, building on from the phonics skills they acquire in FS and KS1. 

It uses etymology, morphology, phonemes and syllables as strategies for teaching spelling patterns and you can access from home. If you do not have your child's login please ask their class teacher.

Writing at Brunswick House 

From September 2025 we will be launching 'Writing for Pleasure' as a school. It is a research based programme to support teachers in delivering world class writing teaching.
